Educated as a civil engineer with a concentration in Structural Engineering, Joe Gray has a solid foundation in building design. His detailed design knowledge, coupled with his extensive construction experience, provides Ashlar Architecture & Engineering with an immeasurable wealth of practical, real-world experience.

From 1980 to 1991, Gray worked in construction and construction management.

In March 1997, Gray founded Gray Engineering Corp., an engineering consulting firm which quickly grew into a formidable engineering firm, providing full engineering services and specializing in land development planning and design. Another transition occurred in 2005 when Gray Warnick was purchased by The Gateway Engineers, Inc., which Gray was a partner in until 2009 and for which he continues to act as a consultant for.

Marlene Myers has considerable experience in commercial and residential design. For the first thirteen years of her career she worked in Virginia for the Lessard Group, a firm that specialized in residential design, ranging from single family homes to high-rise, mixed-use developments. Myers gained experience in the residential market as a project manager, leading her team to complete many successful projects in the eastern United States.

In 2005, Myers and her young family moved back to Western Pennsylvania. Two years later, in 2007 she joined 4-Most Group, Inc. Architects as a project manager, and later became a registered architect. 

In 2018, she became a partner at Ashlar Architecture & Engineering where she continues to provide comprehensive design and architectural services to a variety of clients.
