Description

WESTERN, PA – Small businesses owners interested in seeing their ideas go from blueprint to fruition are invited to attend the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) free online Other Transaction Authorities (OTA) essentials workshop, June 18.

During the webinar, attendees will learn the history and components of Other Transaction Authorities and, more importantly, how this unique model can help small business owners needing assistance in creating prototypes. “Small business owners undertaking new product or production lines certainly can benefit from this joint collaboration between academia, nonprofits industry and government,” explained SBA Western Pennsylvania District Director Dr. Kelly Hunt. “The training session will show how small businesses can partner with OTAs and find solutions to their research and modelling needs.”

The class, presented by Stacey Lindbergh, program manager, Advanced Technology International, will be held online. Small business owners that are 8(a)-certified, HUBZone-certified, or economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses or operate a business in high-employment or low- income areas are invited to participate by contacting Ms. Marisa Fentzel at marisa.fentzel@sba.gov
